On Saturday 9th April the Nottingham based Gamelan Orchestra will be performing 'Kayu Gangsa' a concert at Djanogly Recital Hall at the University of Nottingham. This will be the first public performance on the new Gamelan, built in Solo, Indonesia. The concert brings together world acclaimed musicians/composers Adrian Lee and Sunetra Fernando, who have composed new music for the performance. The concert has been supported by Arts Council England, Visiting Arts and PRS Foundation. Tickets for the concert cost £10/£7 concessions and are available from Lakeside Box Office on 0115 846 7777. |
